Look in the Gospels and read about the dependability of the Jesus’ disciples before, leading up to, and after his death and resurrection. Reflect on what is reveal in the dependability, or lack of dependability of those closest to Christ.

  1. Are the qualities of trustworthiness, reliability, faithfulness, and loyalty synonyms to dependability? How are they similar, and how are they different?
  2. What words or actions help you feel that a person is dependable?
  3. What does developing dependable faith allow members of a faith community to accomplish?
